NOMAD GALLERY

For thousands of years women in various parts of Central Asia
and Anatolia have been handweaving rugs in their homes and
nomadic encampments. They herited weaving skills from their
mothers and from their culture. When you look at a weaving you
can tell where and when it has been made whether it is a floor
covering, grain bag, tent decoration or a prayer rug. Because each
tribe or village has specific patterns and dyes. Those colours and
patterns reflect their culture, feelings, fertility, longings, dreams
and inspirations. They use hand spun wool and natural dyes on
   those unique pieces.
Nomad Gallery has unique antique and semi-old tribal weavings. If you are looking for unusual, unique and tribal weavings, see the next page for our collection.. GO TO COLLECTION..
